Elevating a Revolutionary Paint Brand Through Rebranding and Market Expansion

Skora / Paint Industry

Background

Skora Paints introduced a game-changer to the paint industry with their innovative breathable, hydrophobic technology. The brand’s name, Skora—meaning “skin” in German—reflects their paint’s unique ability to “breathe” like human skin, absorbing moisture while allowing it to release from within. Despite this revolutionary product, Skora faced challenges with their online presence and market positioning. Their animation-heavy website was slow to load, especially for their B2C customers, who often accessed it via mobile in areas with limited connectivity. Skora approached us with a goal to simplify their website and broaden their reach, transitioning from a B2C to a B2B model to engage directly with developers and architects.

Brief

Skora needed a streamlined, accessible website that would provide a seamless experience for all users. Additionally, they wanted to expand their market by transitioning into the B2B space, forging partnerships with industry professionals. This required a consistent brand identity that would resonate across different platforms and support their move from local markets to a state-level, and eventually, an international presence.

The Work

We started by simplifying Skora’s website, removing excessive animations and creating a user-friendly interface that loaded smoothly on both mobile and desktop. This change made Skora’s site accessible to a broader audience, especially in low-network areas, ensuring that potential customers and partners could easily explore their products.

To support Skora’s transition into the B2B market, we crafted a cohesive brand identity, designing product datasheets, brochures, and packaging that highlighted the unique “breathable skin” concept of their paints. We expanded their digital content with visuals and messaging tailored to developers, architects, and industry decision-makers, helping Skora build credibility within the B2B space.

In addition, we designed magazine ads and large-format hoardings that showcased Skora’s innovative technology and reinforced their premium brand presence. This visibility allowed Skora to expand their reach from city-based markets to a broader state-level presence, positioning them as a go-to brand in the professional paint industry.

The Impact

The rebranding and B2B transition transformed Skora’s market presence. With an accessible website and strong visual identity, Skora could now engage a broader audience and establish valuable partnerships with developers and architects. The new brand identity helped Skora move beyond city borders, capturing state-level attention, and discussions are currently underway for international expansion. Through our strategic rebranding efforts, Skora Paints is now well-positioned to lead in both B2C and B2B markets, championing innovation and quality in the paint industry.
